1) You can hire a BETA standard skull cap for your lesson from us at £1.50 per use, available as an 'Add on' to your EC Pro booking.
2) Wellington boots, shoes, or boots with a small heel are preferred over trainers, which can slip through the stirrups.
3) BETA body protectors are required for under 18s. We have some available to hire at £1.50, but it’s best to bring your own.
4) Jogging trousers or leggings are more comfortable than jeans.
5) All riders MUST WEAR SAFETY HATS and appropriate footwear and clothing.
6) We reserve the right to refuse a rider if suitable items are not worn at the time of the ride.
7) All long hair must be tied back in a low ponytail.
We do our best to ensure your safety, and you choice to ride is voluntary but horses and ponies can sometimes be unpredictable.
All our instructors are either qualified or working towards qualifications within the BHS structure.
Riding is a voluntary activity, and while we carefully select suitable horses and ponies for our customers, all animals can be unpredictable.
We recommend taking out full personal accident insurance.
Our equipment is regularly inspected and complies with all recommended safety standards where applicable.
Health and Safety guidelines are clearly displayed and strictly followed at all times. We have procedures in place to reduce risks for everyone at BT Academy Riding School, including staff, spectators, and clients.
All staff and trainees receive training on safety protocols, including actions to take in case of an accident or fire.
We maintain an incident book at BT Academy Riding School to record minor accidents or falls involving staff, trainees, and clients.
